Wednesday 24th September.

Wednesday! Half way through Fresher's Week already! Today was the first day I actually had very little to do that was overly important.
To start I walked out to the harbour and watch for dolphins for about 30 minutes and just as I was walking away I saw them far out swimming and I tried to take some photos but they were too far away so the picture I did take only shows a black dot.

In the afternoon I caught the bus up to University to check out the shop in the Union and bought myself an Aberystwyth University Hooded Jacket and a drink but that bus journey made me thirsty :) I then didn't do much until the evening.

For dinner I had a tuna, pasta and lettuce salad which made a change from Carbonara!
Then afterwards 3 people and me from our flat and one from the next door flat went on a pub crawl around Aber and didn't get in until 2am.

Yea not the most exciting of days and tomorrow wont be any better :)

Tuesday 23rd September

Today started nicely with a fire drill at 7:30am. It's always nice to be woken up at stupid o'clock when you had a late night and then have to grab warm clothes and run out to the sea front and tell the supervisors that you haven't caught fire.
After the drill I went back to my room and allowed myself to wake up properly before going for a run along the sea front to the harbour. By the time I got to the harbour I was knackered having not had breakfast yet so I sat down and saw something in the water. At first I thought it was just a wave but after a few minutes a saw it again and to my surprise saw two dolphins jumping out of the water! It was amazing. I continued to watch them surface and dive for about 20 minutes before I got too cold and decided to run back. Dolphins have been one of my favourite animals for years so it was great to see them in the wild, even though they weren't exactly close.

In the afternoon I went with two of my flat mates to Morrison's just for the trip because I didn't need anything which was good and we stopped off at Focus to get a TV cable where the woman at the tills tried to get us to get a Focus Student Discount card.
After we got back I had to go up to Uni and register for my modules for Geography which was a badly organised and painful process. But I have my timetable now and it's quite good. I have between 8 and 12 lectures a week (it seems to vary a little) and I have all of Monday mornings off which means I can go home at weekends when I feel like it and come back Monday.

In the evening not a whole lot happened until about 9:30 when our flat and 3 people from the next flat + friend went on a pub crawl through Aberystwyth which was good fun although Jack and I lost in a game of pool to two girls so we had to buy them a drink each! At about 12 my throat was really sore and I was tired so I walked back to the Halls and felt really safe doing so as it seems Aber has a good police presence at night! Unlike Sheffield...

Tomorrow I have a day off doing anything compulsory so it will be a lazy day!

Monday 22nd September.

Good morning!

Monday was a relatively quiet day. I got up at 8am in order to get to the Campus for 9am for a talk with the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University and the Dean of Science which I found to be very intimidating as what they said implied University was going to be hard and stressful which wasn't exactly moral boosting!
I also had a Geography lecture which was intimidating as we were told what was expected of us and the lecturer glossed over what will happen over the next few weeks and I kind of realised finally that my Summer holidays are almost over and the hard work is about to start all over again :(

In the afternoon I had the stupid idea of walking 30 minutes to Morrisons to do my food shopping, but I did spend £9.01 on enough food for about a week of meals! That's if I want to eat burgers or carbonara none stop for 7 days :p
Sadly I hurt my shoulder so I had to catch the bus back (darn).

I cooked my first meal in the evening, a rather miss-judged Carbonara which kept me full for about 1hr before I needed to eat again! I sat around talking to three of my flat mates for
about 2hr and phoned home at 8:15 which was nice! I was nice to hear a none Welsh accent!
At about 10 two flat mates and me went to the beach with three people from the next flat a long and we got to know each other. Then we got cold and went inside :)

Then even though I said I would go to bed early I didn't go until 1am and was the last flat mate to bed instead of being the first!

Welcome to my Blog!

Chroesawa at 'm Blog!

I decided that whilst at Uni, for at least my first year anyway I would keep a Blog of the ins and outs of what's happening so that it gives me something to do and so that I remember everything since my memory is useless!
I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to and hopefully I'll update this every day or so!
